My handmade garland / Mijn zelfgemaakte slinger

Finally there was a reason to use the handmade garland before I got my babyshower: my husband's birthday :) Sorry, but I couldn't wait any longer... When it hung, it totally worked! I love the subdued colors and the vintage feel it has with it. I will make more different kinds of garlands in the future so that you'll have a chance to order your copy too :)

Eindelijk was er een reden om mijn handgemaakte slinger eerder te gebruiken dan mijn babyshower: de verjaardag van mijn man :) Sorry, maar ik kon niet langer meer wachten... Toen het hing werkte het helemaal! Ik houd van de ingetogen kleuren en het vintage gevoel dat het met zich meebrengt. Ik zal in de toekomst meer verschillende slingers maken zodat jij de mogelijkheid hebt om jouw exemplaar te bestellen :)

Porch pillows / Veranda kussens

I am a pillow lover. You cannot have enough pillows is my opinion. I have lots of them in our living, bedroom, guest room and porch and I love them. I love to work with different fabrics and textures so the beauty of each pillow is visible for the eye. On the porch pillows make the porch softer and invite guests to sit down and relax. The pillow with the ruffles and lace is my favorite right now. I bought this one at www.hm.com and it was very affordable :)

Ik ben een kussenliefhebber. Je kunt niet genoeg kussens hebben is mijn mening. Ik heb er veel in onze woonkamer, slaapkamer, logeerkamer en veranda en ik houd van ze. Ik houd ervan om te werken met verschillende stoffen en texturen zodat de schoonheid van iedere kussen zichtbaar is voor het oog. Op de veranda maken kussens de veranda zachter en het nodigt gasten uit om lekker te zitten en te relaxen. Het kussen met de roesjes en kant is momenteel mijn favoriet. Ik kocht deze bij www.hm.com en het was zeer betaalbaar :)

Lettered Curtain / Beletterd gordijn

For the nursery I searched for curtains in a vintage look . Because we are expecting a little baby boy instead of a baby girl I had to stop myself wanting shabby chic style curtains for the nursery :)
Finally I found a curtain that fits the nursery beautifully. This curtain is from Jeanne d'Arc. It is made from white linen and has French words printed on it. The curtain is easy to hang thanks to the ribbon at the top.  Jeanne d'Arc also sells more of this kind of curtains, with other words and colors.

Voor de babykamer zocht ik naar gordijnen met een vintage uiterlijk. Omdat we een jongetje verwachten in plaats van een meisje moest ik mijzelf stoppen om shabby chic stijl gordijnen te willen voor de babykamer :) 
Uiteindelijk vond ik een prachtig gordijn dat prachtig in de babykamer past. Dit gordijn is van Jeanne d'Arc. het is gemaakt van wit linnen en heeft een Franse tekst erop geprint. Het gordijn is gemakkelijk op te hangen dankzij het lint aan de bovenkant. Jeanne d"Arc verkoopt trouwens meer van dit soort gordijnen, met andere teksten en kleuren.

The miracle of seeds / Het wonder van zaadjes

I found an old culture box and filled it with some seeds for the first time in my life. Pretty fast, small plants came out from the earth and they are still growing. So simple, but I find it a great miracle! I love to share these pictures, hope you like them too.

Ik vond een oud kweekkastje en vulde het met wat zaadjes voor de eerste keer in mijn leven. Aardig snel kwamen er kleine plantjes uit de aarde en ze groeien nog steeds. Zo simpel, maar ik vind het een groot wonder! Ik vind het geweldig om deze foto's met je te delen, ik hoop dat je het ook leuk vind.

Baby Shoes in a Bowl / Babyschoentjes in een schaaltje

I found a vintage bowl at home and the color of it is beautiful for the nursery. I also found old baby shoes that have almost the same color as the bowl. I placed this adorable couple in the nursery, but I will give these as a present to a friend who is pregnant too. So I will enjoy this sweet combination for a little while, but give it away with even much more joy :) A really nice idea for a baby shower or a baby present.

Ik vond thuis een vintage schaaltje en de kleur is prachtig voor de babykamer. Ook vond ik oude babyschoentjes die bijna dezelfde kleur hebben als het schaaltje. Ik plaatste dit schattige stel in de babykamer, maar ik zal het weggeven als cadeautje aan een vriendin die ook zwanger is. Dus ik geniet nog eventjes van deze lieve combinatie, maar zal het weggeven met nog meer blijdschap :) Een erg leuk idee voor een babyshower of een kraamcadeautje.
