The miracle of seeds / Het wonder van zaadjes

I found an old culture box and filled it with some seeds for the first time in my life. Pretty fast, small plants came out from the earth and they are still growing. So simple, but I find it a great miracle! I love to share these pictures, hope you like them too.

Ik vond een oud kweekkastje en vulde het met wat zaadjes voor de eerste keer in mijn leven. Aardig snel kwamen er kleine plantjes uit de aarde en ze groeien nog steeds. Zo simpel, maar ik vind het een groot wonder! Ik vind het geweldig om deze foto's met je te delen, ik hoop dat je het ook leuk vind.

Baby Shoes in a Bowl / Babyschoentjes in een schaaltje

I found a vintage bowl at home and the color of it is beautiful for the nursery. I also found old baby shoes that have almost the same color as the bowl. I placed this adorable couple in the nursery, but I will give these as a present to a friend who is pregnant too. So I will enjoy this sweet combination for a little while, but give it away with even much more joy :) A really nice idea for a baby shower or a baby present.

Ik vond thuis een vintage schaaltje en de kleur is prachtig voor de babykamer. Ook vond ik oude babyschoentjes die bijna dezelfde kleur hebben als het schaaltje. Ik plaatste dit schattige stel in de babykamer, maar ik zal het weggeven als cadeautje aan een vriendin die ook zwanger is. Dus ik geniet nog eventjes van deze lieve combinatie, maar zal het weggeven met nog meer blijdschap :) Een erg leuk idee voor een babyshower of een kraamcadeautje.

Porch Elements this summer / Veranda-elementen voor deze zomer

I love those warm summer days! Our porch is one of my favorite places to be these days. I also enjoy to decorate the porch over and over again. This year I replaced the big table for a smaller table (see last year's  post of last over here). I also put in some extra small furniture to make the porch more cute. Details like pillows, fabrics, flowers and more make it feel like home to me. Hope it will inspire you!

Ik houd van de warme zomerdagen! Onze veranda is een van mijn favoriete plaatsen op deze dagen. Ook houd ik ervan om de veranda steeds opnieuw te decoreren. Dit jaar verwijderde ik de grote tafel en plaatste er een kleinere tafel (zie de post van vorig jaar hier). Ook plaatste ik wat extra kleine meubeltjes om de veranda wat schattiger te maken. De details zoals kussens, stoffen, bloemen en meer maakt dat het voor mij thuis voelt. Ik hoop dat het je inspireert!

Baby Clothes on a Towel Bar / Babykleertjes aan een handdoekrek

I couldn't resist buying a few clothes for our expected baby boy :) I chose just a few items to hang in the nursery. The colors I chose, complement each other. I hung the clothes on a vintage towel bar to give the room an extra vintage feel - not too much vintage, but in a way that it fits a nursery. Hope you like the idea. Ik kon mezelf niet weerhouden om een paar kleertjes te kopen voor ons te verwachten jongetje :) Ik koos een paar kleertjes uit die ik kon ophangen in de babykamer. De kleuren die ik koos passen mooi bij elkaar. Ik hing de kleertjes aan een vintage handdoekrek om de kamer een extra vintage sfeer te geven - niet teveel vintage, maar op een manier die mooi in een babykamer past. Ik hoop dat je het idee leuk vind. Trouwens; de kleertjes zijn van zara.com, feetje.nl en prenatal.nl.

Patchwork Fabric for the Nursery / Patchwork stoffen voor de babykamer

After searching for days on the internet I finally found a brand that produces fabrics the way I love, fit for a nursery. I searched for white fabric but I wanted patchwork fabric, so that was a challenge to find.
Cottonbaby.com is a Dutch brand with nice fabrics (not only patchwork in whites, but also many other colors and products). I've ordered a play mat, bottle bags, a bib, a pillowcase, a crib sheet and a changing pad cover - all patchwork in whites. I will use some other colors too, but not too many. Maybe a little beige and pastel green or blue. Oh, and the little stuffed lamb is 30 years old. It was my cuddly when I was a baby. Later I will use it for our baby boy :)

Na dagen zoeken op het internet vond ik eindelijk een merk dat stoffen maakt op de manier die ik erg mooi vind voor een babykamer. Ik zocht naar witte stof maar ik wilde patchwork, dus dat was een uitdaging om te vinden. 
Cottonbaby.com is een Nederlands merk met mooie stoffen (niet alleen patchwork in het wit, maar vele andere kleuren en producten). Ik heb een boxkleed, kruikzakken, een slabbetje, een kussensloopje en een aankleedkussenhoes besteld - allemaal patchwork in het wit. Ik zal ook wat andere kleuren gaan gebruiken, maar niet teveel. Misschien een beetje beige en pastel groen of blauw. 
Oja, en het kleine knuffellammetje is al 30 jaar oud. Het was mijn knuffeltje toen ik een baby was. Straks zal ik het gebruiken voor ons zoontje :)
